iCopyright provides ©reator Tags free of charge, as well as a secure Creator Console to manage permissions and run reports on who is using the tagged works. Creators get paid via PayPal and keep 100% of the licenses sold via the service. The iCopyright ©reators Tag is also used by creators to grant free permissions to their works. iCopyright supports the service by running ads alongside of Creator Profiles that are viewed by web users.

©reator Profile
When people see the ©reator Tag on works, they can click it to learn more about the owner of the works. The profile can be edited by the creator in the ©reator Console.
©reator Permissions & Licensing Service
When people click on the ©reator Tag that is affixed to a work on the web, or type it into a browser from an offline work, the creator's permissions and licenses are displayed. Creators can offer free permissions and ensure that they get attribution. They can also offer licenses for a fee. The licenses and permissions to offer -- and their prices and terms -- are set up and managed in the ©reator Console.
©reator Custom Terms of Use
The terms under which people may use or re-purpose the creator's works are edited in the ©reator Console. iCopyright provides a default set of industry-standard terms. Each creator can add, edit or delete the provisions that govern their works.
©reator Payments via PayPal
If creators charge a fee for use of their works, the user pays via PayPal. The money is credited to the creator's PayPal account (minus any fee assessed by PayPal). iCopyright does not collect or remit any monies.
Attribution and License Verification
Upon obtaining a free permission or a paid license via the ©reators service, the user (licensee) is given an attribution link to apply to their licensed copy. When other people come into contact with the copy, they can click the link (if the work is on the web) or enter the URL into a web browser (if the work is in hard copy form). This allows everyone who sees the creator's work to verify that the user has obtained proper permission to be using it, and can contact the creator or obtain their own permissions. iCopyright ©reators is a self-perpetuating copyright protection and marketing system. The people and companies that use a creator's work become a conduit for promoting the creator and selling more licenses.
©reator Console
The ©reator Console functions as the creator's rights and permissions management system. The types of permissions the creator wishes to offer; the terms, the prices (if any) and other business rules are managed from this free account console. The console may be accessed via the web 24/7.
©reator Reports
Reports are available to the creator in the console. Creators can run reports on how many times people have viewed their profile and permissions; how many free permissions have been granted and how many paid licenses have been sold over any date range.
©reator Network
The ©reator Network is open to all creators, especially those who make their living creating and selling content, and those who have added the iCopyright ©reator Tag to their works. http://icopyrightcreators.ning.com.

"Copyright is just as critical to the millions of bloggers as it is to the big publishers. From a content-consumer perspective, the copyright symbol and automated permissions system must be ubiquitous across all content."
- Matt Bolch, EContent Magazine
