FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
iCopyright Adds “Most Popular Articles” and “Photo Reprints” Services
New services provide publishers with more ways to monetize their content.
SEATTLE, Washington, June 7, 2007 -- iCopyright announced today two new services that help publishers monetize their online content.
The “Most Popular Articles” service enables publishers to display a list of the most popular articles on their web site, updated every hour. Visitors to the publisher’s website can view a breakdown of the most emailed, most printed, most saved and most viewed articles. Online users can obtain an RSS feed of the most popular articles from any publisher using this service, and they can publish the list on their own web site using a widget supplied by iCopyright. This service drives new traffic to the publisher’s website and generates revenue from iCopyright’s advertiser-supported permissions and instant licensing services.
A secondary benefit of this service is that any online publisher or user can view the Most Popular Articles across iCopyright’s entire network of tagged content, and can publish the list using RSS or iCopyright’s widget. The list is available for download from iCopyright’s homepage at http://info.iCopyright.com.
The “Photo Reprints” service enables publishers to sell reprints of their photos, separate from the articles in which they appeared. Users can select from a variety of sizes and formats, and can buy photo reprint rights for use on the web and in other media.
The two new services are free to publishers using the iCopyright XML tag.
