FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
iCopyright Adds “Custom Permissions” and “Live Support” Services
New services help publishers to engage and better support their users.
SEATTLE, Washington, July 12, 2007 -- iCopyright announced today two new services that help publishers engage and better support their users.
The “Custom Permissions” service enables publishers to create and tailor new licensing services for their audiences. “Rather than being limited to a fixed set of reprint and licensing options, we like the fact that we can custom design permissions and other reader services using iCopyright,” said Michael Odza, Digital Media Manager of The Santa Fe New Mexican.
The “Live Support” service enables the publisher’s permissions staff, or their reprint agents, to assist users in real time. When users click on the iCopyright links, support personnel can chat with them about reprint and licensing options. This feature also helps users to register and purchase the content they wish to reproduce. “One of the many things we have learned over the last nine years of helping online publishers license their content,” said Mike O’Donnell, CEO of iCopyright, “is that content is not purchased as much as it is sold. Live Support will help our publisher clients to sell more content.”
These two new services are free to publishers who deploy iCopyright’s XML license tag.
