FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Publishing Industry Executive Joins iCopyright
Andrew Elston Named Interim Director of Publisher Services
SEATTLE, Washington, September 11, 2006 -- iCopyright, announced today that Andrew Elston has joined the company as Interim Director of Publisher Services. Elston brings more than 25 years of publishing and online content licensing experience to iCopyright. Elston managed content licensing from both sides of the table--as licensee and licensor. Most recently he was Vice President of Content Licensing & Development at Primedia Enterprises, where he was responsible for developing licensing agreements for more than 300 business and consumer magazines, web sites, and events, including reprints and permissions and 25 international editions of Primedia titles.
"I have been a big fan of the iCopyright service since it was envisioned by Mike O'Donnell back in 1998," said Elston. "One of the first things I did upon my arrival at Primedia was to implement iCopyright for 85 business titles. I know first-hand some of the nuances and advantages of iCopyright from the publisher's perspective and how it can make life easier--and richer--for content owners. I'm looking forward to helping make iCopyright a ubiquitous service on the Web and a profitable one for publishers and other content providers."
"We are excited to have Andrew aboard," said Mike O’Donnell, iCopyright Chief Executive Officer. "He has been a customer and a personal mentor to me and iCopyright for many years. His hands-on leadership will help us expand iCopyright to online publishers world-wide."
Elston can be reached at andrew@icopyright.com.
